Dr. J. Thomas Mortimer, Professor Emeritus of Biomedical Engineering of Case Western Reserve University, graciously presented \u201cElectron transfer processes occurring on platinum neural stimulating electrodes\u201d. \u00a0He states that \u2018Most of the folks who work on neuralprostheses are spooked by chemistry and therefor ignore the electron transfer processes occurring on neural stimulating elec-trodes.
