President David Jacobs
dmj15@case.edu		  OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA David is a 5th year Phd student in the Particle-Astro Theory group working with Glenn Starkman. He is most interested in topics in gravity, cosmology, and quantum field theory. David was PGSA president for 2010-11, and served as a graduate student senator from 2008-2010. Some of his hobbies include running, mountain biking, and homebrewing.
Vice-President Lisa Bauer  Lisa Lisa is a second-year PhD candidate in the Imaging Group, working with Mark Griswold (Radiology) and Robert Brown (Physics). Her primary research interests are Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). For the 2010-2011 year, Lisa served as PGSA secretary/treasurer, and at the present she also serves as the GSS Health & Wellness Committee Chair. Other than Physics, Lisa enjoys playing tennis and basketball, cooking, reading and watching B-List shark movies.
Secretary/Treasurer Tawinan Cheiwchanchamnangij  Tawinan Tawinan is a 4th year PhD student in Condensed Matter Theory Group (or Electronic Structure Group) working with Prof. Walter Lambrecht. Mainly, he is working on the electronic structure of several kinds of semiconductors. Besides doing physics research, he also enjoys running, hiking, and kayaking. Tawinan is a PGSA secretary/treasurer for the first time in 2011.
Faculty Liaison Johanna Nagy  Johanna Johanna is a 2nd year Ph.D. student with an interest in Particle-Astro experiment. She is currently working in John Ruhl’s group on instruments to study the cosmic microwave background radiation. Her interests include IM sports, piano, and pets. Her favorite thing about Cleveland is lake-effect snow.
Graduate Student Senate Representative Ben Saliwanchik  Ben Ben is a 4th year PhD student in John Ruhl’s lab, in the Particle-Astrophysics Experimental division. He works on the South Pole Telescope (SPT) collaboration, where he is currently working on a Markov-Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) program for parametrizing galaxy clusters observed by the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich (SZ) effect. When he isn’t doing physics he enjoys reading, traveling, and camping.
First Year Representative Jason Chance  Jason_Chance Jason graduated from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) with a bachelors degree in physics and mathematics. His primary areas of interest are in theoretical particle and astrophysics. Beyond physics, his interests include politics, particularly healthcare policy, the study of modern fashion trends and singing in choirs.
