Johanna Nagy |

Johanna is a 3rd year Ph.D. student with an interest in Particle-Astro experiment. She is currently working in John Ruhl’s group doing cosmic microwave background cosmology. Johanna served as PGSA faculty liaison during the 2011-2012 academic year. Her interests include IM sports, piano, and pets. Her favorite thing about Cleveland is lake-effect snow. |

Lisa Bauer |

Lisa is a third-year PhD candidate in the Imaging Group, working with Mark Griswold (Radiology) and Robert Brown (Physics). Her primary research interests are Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). For the 2010-2011 year, Lisa served as PGSA secretary/treasurer, and at the present she also serves as the GSS Health & Wellness Committee Chair. Other than Physics, Lisa enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking, and watching B-List shark movies. |

Jim is a 3rd year grad student in the Particle-Astro theory group working with Glenn Starkman. He is primarily interested in searching for and characterising new observable cosmological phenomena. In his spare time, Jim enjoys swimming, throwing frisbees, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and learning about web technologies. |

Nick is a 2nd-year grad student working in Xuan Gao’s group on strongly correlated 2-dimensional electron gasses. He enjoys biking, playing guitar, and watching Lord of the Rings. |

Ben Saliwanchik |

Ben is a 5th year PhD student in John Ruhl’s lab, in the Particle-Astrophysics Experimental division. He works on the South Pole Telescope (SPT) collaboration, where he is currently working on a Markov-Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) program for parametrizing galaxy clusters observed by the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich (SZ) effect. When he isn’t doing physics he enjoys reading, traveling, and camping. |

Rosie Bramante is a 1st Year PhD student in Kenneth Singer’s lab, in the Condensed Matter Experimental division. She currently instructs P121 Mechanics labs while taking the usual first year classes. She enjoys singing, reading, hiking, meeting people, and lazing about. |
