Living on a Monopole

This project aims to explore the proposed idea that our universe could be localized on a Hypermonopole, a generalization of the t’Hooft-Polyakov monopole to 6+1 dimensions. The aim will be to construct analytically and/or numerically the spacetime solution describing a single Hypermonopole in an infinite 7 dimensional spacetime, and then to determine its gravitational influence by looking at the evolution of geodesics and linearized fluctuations. In doing so, we will determine whether matter and gravity can be localized near the center of the monopole.
