Desktop MRI Console

In modern MRI courses there is a severe lack of hands on interactions with clinical MRI machines due to the high cost of the equipment. The goal of this three phase project is to design a desktop sized MRI scanner to be used in class room applications. The first phase is to program a Arduino chip to control the gradient and RF fields. The next phase would be to assemble all of the hardware components. The final phase is to test the system and acquire sample images.
